The first thing you will notice is that although small, Lien Thanh’s interior is clean, bright and comfortable.  The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the service is always prompt whether the place is packed with patrons or your table is the only one being served.  Their menu offers patrons a wide variety of appetizers, soups, rice dishes, noodle dishes, with a variety of meats and vegetarian options as well.  If you’re having trouble deciding between the many tempting possibilities, you can browse through a picture menu of their dishes and see what strikes your fancy.

While the atmosphere is pleasant and the service is great, the highlight of the experience is the food.  Starting with appetizers, of which you can have full orders of your favorite starters such as the amazing Vietnamese rolls, or sample a few half orders.  The cold rolls are a treat to start!  The sauces which accompany appetizers and entrees are all made from scratch, and provide the perfect enhancements to their dishes.
Lien Thanh’s culinary magic is nowhere more apparent than in their marvellous soups.  If you love Vietnamese and Thai soups, Lien Thanh’s hot and spicy noodle soups are an absolute must.  Great soup is a culinary art at which few restaurants truly excel.  This is not the case with Lien Thanh, as the soups make an absolutely delicious and filling meal in themselves.
The best rice noodle dishes in Saskatoon are found at Lien Thanh, where they put in that extra little bit of care and attention to taste, and the result is a consistently superior dish.  Turn a rice noodle bowl into your own custom feast by adding Vietnamese rolls and shrimp to the fabulous charbroiled chicken or curry beef!  The Pad Thai is also excellent.  If you’re in the mood for something a little colder than the traditional green tea, you can accompany your meal with your favorite Canadian brew, or try one of their selection of imports.
Don’t forget to check out the bakery side of Lien Thanh, by sampling some of their homemade desserts, such as the cinnamon cookies.  On Saturdays you can experience their sesame rolls, which are like no sesame rolls you’ve ever had – they’re the best in Saskatoon and perhaps anywhere!  With their clean, welcoming interior and friendly service Lien Thanh is one of Saskatoon’s best spots for Vietnamese dining, but if you’re short on time and craving your favorite rolls, rice noodles and spicy soup, they’re always available for pickup.
